This watercolor painting captures young girls & boys of the children's choir, dressed in their robes, sitting on a bench at a pipe organ. While the organist is away the kids check over the keyboard with stop knobs on either side. The high vaulted ceiling of the church nave glows in blue & pink light from the rose window on the far wall. Ornate woodwork, a cross, a flower bouquet & candle finish out this beautiful & cute scene. I can easily imagine the lovely music filling the cathedral.This was a commission painting, a gift for the assistant organist & children's choir director who is moving on to his own church.
