This watercolor painting captures a beautiful moored sailboat, a wood gulet yacht. The boat sparkles under the morning sun & reflections shimmer with vivid colors on the calm Aegean sea.
I was sailing the waters off Turkey & loved how the sunrise colors danced around this boat named Merve II. The gorgeous white bow, silver anchor, blue sails & polished wood trim is breathtaking.
A gulet is a traditional design of a two or three-masted wooden sailing vessel from the southwestern coast of Turkey. The ships are built in the coastal towns of Bodrum & Marmaris.
The original painting is a personal favorite in my private collection to enjoy every day!
