Description
This watercolor painting captures the Greek architecture of Emporio, a traditional settlement in Santorini Greece.
Emporio means “trade” or “commerce” & this village used to be the trade center on the island.
The town is a maze of narrow alleys & houses with overhead bridges between them. These old homes have textured walls, tiny windows & steep steps leading up to entrance doors.
I was commissioned to paint this scene to commemorate a client's epic Greek vacation.
