This watercolor painting captures The Point Resort Boathouse on Saranac Lake, described as "camping out, Great Camp-style".
This beautiful landscape is in the Adirondacks near Upstate New York's Lake Placid.
The camp was initially designed as a "rugged" log mansion where visitors are "glamping" in style.
The boathouse's top floor is one large guest room with a wrap-around porch.
The boats are docked at the water level behind the red doors.
A resort guest commissioned me to paint this scene referencing his vacation photo. It's that time of day when the setting sun hits the top of the pine trees, the sky fills with soft pinks & blues & reflections dance on the water along the shoreline.
So wonderfully relaxing.
